Thermic torches require high
volumes of oxygen. For small jobs where the operation is only going
to require a few burning bars, high pressure cylinders are the quickest
and easiest method of supplying oxygen. For large projects requiring
a lot of cutting the operator may choose to use portable liquid oxygen
dewars’ to supply gaseous oxygen.
The volume of gaseous oxygen
that a portable dewar can provide is limited by the size of the internal
vaporizer. In order to use portable dewar’s to supply gaseous oxygen
for burning bars it is necessary to manifold multiple dewars to an external
vaporizer The number of dewar’s and the size of the vaporizer
depends on the volume requirements of the burning bars being used.
Oxylance has developed portable
vaporizer systems to supply gaseous oxygen for all of our products.
These systems come with manifold hoses to hook up the dewar’s and
a high volume cryogenic regulator with dual outlets for multiple torches.
OXY VAP 5000
The OXY VAP 5000 supplies up to 5000 cubic feet of gaseous oxygen per hour from four portable dewar’s and can run one of our 1.05” od burning bars or two of our .675” od or smaller burning bars.
OXY VAP 2500
The OXY VAP 2500 supplies up to 2500 cubic feet of gaseous oxygen per hour from two portable dewars’. The 2500 cfh system can run one .675” od burning bar or two .540” od burning bars, or it can be used to run multiple Sure Cut systems.
